Call for members to represent Dalton Cricket Club, whilst running/jogging/crawling in aid of Sport Relief Mile on Sun 21 March @ Beacon Country Park (800 yds south of Dalton ground)
1 mile run (11:00am), 3 mile run (11:30am) and a 6 mile run (12:30pm).
Should be fun and hopefully will get you a little fitter !

Dalton start fixtures with a 'new' feeling, as the 3rds host Goose Green 2nds in their 1st ever league fixture, the 2nds are at home to Whitfield (Roby) 2nds in their 1st ever S+D league game, and the 1sts play Southport College at Ferryside Lane, a 1st in both respects. 'Working party' days on Sat/Sun 10/11 April, @ the Club 10am-5pm. All members requested to attend at sometime over the weekend, appropriately prepared (in clothing and mind) for club and ground maintenance work (e.g. painting, sawing, branch loppers, spades, tool boxes, extension reels etc. etc.).

1sts + 3rds have byes in cup 1st round, but 2nds travel to Aughton.

Dalton awarded £8,800 by 'SportEngland' for much needed ground and coaching equipment, details of which, plus other exciting news of Dalton's progress, will be published in the re-born 'Dalton Yorker', the members newsletter.

Umpires course (ECB ACO level 1) commences on January 19th 2010 at Burscough CC. (7.30pm) for about 6-8 weeks. Powerpoint presentation (i.e. demonstrations on a screen).

We can photocopy favourite matches for you, but at the end of the day they do belong to the Club and should be accessible for all to see.
