EX-PLAYERS

Cricket is rich in stories and memories of the 'good, old days' and its characters.

So the Club always loves to hear from all ex-players, including those who have lost contact or moved away.

Tours
Q. Does anyone know 'when and where' was the first Dalton tour ?
Also if any players have memories, press cuttings, photos, scorebooks etc. of Dalton's tours (pre 1990) please contact Dave Halsey who would be delighted to hear from you.
Matt Hopper, has recently (June 2007) contacted the club again with his latest news for his many Dalton friends:-
"Things are pretty much the same here in the emerald isle. The winter weather devastated our schedule for the building we are doing. We had to abandon work completely from late November until February. During the whole of that time we didn't have two consecutive days without rain. We're now trying to get the work finished but everyone had the same winter and the various trades are now in great demand. We have the roofs on and the windows and doors are installed we also have the first-fix electrics and plumbing done - we are now waiting for a plasterer and in the meantime are fitting solar panels to the roof.
April gave us great weather and we got loads done caught a load of lovely fish for the freezer. May was awful and my only trips to sea were in wild weather including one trip where we got caught out in a force 8 gale in the dark - character building stuff. June has again been very wet - we had some thunder storms last week where it rained so hard the gutters simply couldn't take the rain away quick enough. The nearby town - Tralee - was badly flooded.
Deborah is no longer doing part-time work in a supermarket but is teaching in a local school as a 'resource' teacher and is also doing some work at a tuition centre where parents pay to get extra support for their children. She is really enjoying the work and still has time to do her markets selling the surplus from the garden together with her jams and chutneys etc."

Reunion dinners are held from time to time, and all ex-players (and wives / partners) are welcome to attend. The emphasis is on a 'value for money' meal followed by informal chats, reminiscences and perusing over old club photographs and press-cuttings, plus that special Dalton CC camaraderie.

Ex-player's Membership Ex-players can (re-) join the Club for only £1 (or 5 x 2nd class stamps).
