Car Parking. On arrival at our Club please avoid using the car park of the adjoining Prince William Inn, and instead use our Cricket Club car park (grass) next to it.

From North: Leave M6 jct 27 & take A5209 to Parbold for 4 miles ; after descending Parbold Hill (beware speed camera at bottom !) go past Parbold and Wayfarers Restaurant(on L)and t.l. at mini-rbt (HIGHER LANE); cont. up hill for 3m, passing St Michael's Ch. (on sharp l.h. bend) and The 'Beacon Inn' near top of hill ; cont. for further 100 yds; grd entrance is on L. just 30 yds past Prince William Inn. (Entrance is concealed and easily missed) Plenty of parking (grass) on r.h.s
From South: Leave M6 jct 26 & go back under M6 to take A577 over M6 & to Orrell. Go thru' tr.lts in Orrell centre (speed camera on right ¼m further on) and cont. up hill to Upholland, past War Memorial on sharp lh. bend ; After r.h. bend you'll come across a double mini-rbt, so go over 1st, but at 2nd t.r. into MILL LANE (i.e. between Victoria p.h. and Rathbones Bakers) into dip before road rises.
Beware of 'parked van' speed camera on left as you overtake to start to climb for 100 yds.
Cont. up th'hill for 2 miles passing the Beacon Country Park (on l.) When road levels out, you'll pass a couple of houses on your l. ; Grd is 100 yds further on r. (Entrance is concealed and easily missed) If you reach the 'Prince William Inn', you've gone 30 yrds too far. Plenty of parking (grass) on r.h.s
From West: Aim for Ormskirk and then either

Various ways. To avoid Ormskirk, go to Blaguegate, Skem and take signs for Ormskirk / M58 jtn. At rbt, go str. over onto A570 Ormskirk. At Stanley Gate Inn, Bickerstaffe, t.l. for ? After ¼ mile take r.t. for A570 Southport, (also ‘Aughton, Formby’). At X-roads just before Dog+Gun pub (on r), t.l. into Parrs Lane. At T-jtn t.l. and then after 50 yds t.r into Town Green Lane. Go over bridge, and take 1st turn rt after Cockbeck Tavern into Winifred Lane.Turn l. into Community centre. Large tarmac car park, but will have to carry kit past tennis courts to pavilion.
Or from Ormskirk, take A59 to Maghull, take left turn into 'Winifred Lane' to 'Aughton'. Turn right into Community Centre.

From M6 (J27) take A5209 to 'Standish'. At town centre tr. lts. (Somerfields on left) take left lane to go str over to B5239 'Aspull, Maghull'. Pass Church on r. , pass 'Owls Restaurant (on R), go under railway bridge, and at rdbt (new houses opp) turn L onto A5106 ('Chorley'). After 4m, at T-jnt + traff lts, T. L. on to A6 'Preston'.
Busy tree-lined road, uphill. At first big rbt, take rh lane and t.r onto dual-carr 'Lyons Lane South' (tall 'Morrisons' chimney on r.). At next rbt, take rh lane again and t.r onto Brooke St. At immediate mini-rbt ignore road turning right (into Morrisons) instead take turning str. ahead up hill. Pass 'Potters Arms' (on R.), Mosque and Sacred Heart church (both on left). Carry str. up to top of hill (will see signpost halfway up on rhs ' Cowling'.) At top of hill at rbt ('Chorley Cake Centre') turn right. Go down hill to mini-rbt. Turn left, over bridge, and will see Spinners Arms on left.
Go up hill past Spinners Arms. Sharp left turn (b+w chevrons sign). Ground entrance 50 yds on left after green metal fencing. 'Gillett Playing Fields'. Ample car parking (grass)(About 35 mins from M6 junction)

T.l to Southport. At 1st rdbt (at garage) go str. over.
At 2nd rdbt ('The Plough Inn' (*)) take 2nd turn-off (11 am) onto main A565 road (Preston New Road) . After 70 yds (at garage) turn r. ('Fylde Rd.') and immediately r. again into 'Ferryside Lane'. Go to end.
Where the narrow tarmac road commences, go through gate on left onto field, and aim for far opposite corner. Plenty of parking space (grass) [Ground share with Southport College]

After 1 mile, at T-jtn (+ tr lights) take r.h. lane ('A666 Blackburn').
Go under concrete bridge (M65) but immed (with 'Golden Cup' pub on left) turn right ('B6231 Lower Darwen') into Sandy Lane. Go up and then down rd (houses on either side), turning left (opp no. 119) into track entrance to ground. Str through gate to far side. Ltd parking (gravel).

Either, from Ormskirk take A570 main road to Southport. After passing over Leeds+Liverpool Canal bridge, take A5147 (left) to Halsall. Ground appears on right.
Or go to Ormskirk at juctn of A570 (Southport) and A59 (Liverpool). Between these latter 2 roads (about 10 o'clock) is a road 'Halsall Lane' to Halsall. Go along to end (about 400 yds) 'Cottage Lane' and turn r. at T-juctn (to 'Halsall'). Carry on for about 2 miles along twisty road. After passing Primrose Hill garden centre (on L.) road turns sharp right (Southport), but instead take left turn into 'Asmall Lane', towards Halsall Parish Church. Carry on to church, passing 'Saracens Head' on left, and passing over very narrow bridge. At church turn right at monument, ground entrance is 400yds on left - easily missed. Ample parking (tarmac).

(a) Hindley town centre tr.lts, take 'M61 / A58 Bolton'. At mini-rbt with St. John's Church facing you, take L.turn into 'Ladies Lane', signposted 'Hindley Station' . Pass over Hindley station rly bridge, follow 'Aspull' sign and pass Hindley Hall Golf Club (on L.), now on Hall Lane, until mini-rbt T-jtn. Take left turn, sgnpstd 'Haigh, Standish B5239'.
At large rbt - 'Queens Head' pub on L.- signpstd 'M6 South / Wigan B5238 / Wigan Pier', take left hand lane 'Wigan'. Immed pass Crawford St. and new Aspull Methodist Chapel (both on L). After 50 yds, just after bus stop (*), and at blue signpost - 'Aspull Civic Hall', turn left (right from Wigan) onto tarmac road ('Woods Road' ). Playing fields either side of 'road', (cricket pitch on R.) Carry on to end of lamp standards, turn R. into Aspull Civic Hall carpark (tarmac).
Or (b) go into Wigan and take B5238 to 'Aspull' passing 'Scholes', 'Whelley', 'New Springs'. Before large rbt for jct with B5239, large playing fields open up on right. At bus stop on right, follow instructions as above from (*) onwards.

Turn left onto A49 'Preston'. After ¾m turn left at tr lts. into 'Lydiate Lane', signposted A582 ' Blackpool'/ A5083 'Farington'.
Go over M6, entering Farington. After ½m take sharp left @ T-jtn onto B5284 'Leyland / Lancs Ind Est'. Go down 400yds and turn right at tr.lts onto 'Centurion Way' (grd on right behind hedge). After 50 yds, turn right through gate, (opp Farington Lodge). Ample parking (grass)
For main Leyland 'Fox Lane' ground, follow above directions to *, then;
Turn right on to A49 ' Euxton'. At next lights, turn right onto B5248 'Leyland', back over motorway. Continue str on over 3 mini rbts, pass Balshaws High School (on left), and down to traffic lights (with 'Eagle + Child' pub on left). Straight thru' lights, pass Church on left, take sharp left bend (cobbled road surface) and then immediate right at mini rbt into Fox Lane ('Fox + Lion' pub on right hand corner).
Pass terraced houses on both sides for about 400 yds, until metal railings appear on left, with ground entrance at end of them. Car park (ash) can get full.

Go on for 200 yds, (passing Church on left). Just after St. John's Parish Centre (has chains on front), but before bus stop (on right), turn right along narrow tarmac 'road' leading to ground and changing facilities (ex-'library'). Ample parking (grass) either side of tarmac path.

Get onto A570 to Southport. At main rbt (Tesco's), go str. over to take B5276 (Meols Cop Rd) & carry on, over tr.lts at Meols Cop station, & cont. until you reach tr.lts at T-jct with A 5267 (Roe Lane). Turn right, and grd entrance (narrow + easily missed !) is 100yds on left, just before 3' high wall made of smooth red brick + railings on top. and opp. 2 large trees. Ltd parking near pavilion, but can park further down on grass on right opp. back pitch.

Winstanley Park , Hall Lane, off Winstanley Road, Orrell. WN3 6BG / SD539035
Either go to Orrell, take Winstanley Road and follow from (*) below
Or go to Upholland at Hall Green.; go over both mini-rbts to X-over jct to Alma Hill; at bottom of Alma Hill turn right. Go under M58 and turn left at rbt (Delph Inn). At next tr.lts go str. over into 'Winstanley Road'. (*) As road climbs, look on left for signpost on lamp-post 'Tennis Club' into 'Hall Lane', and adjacent to house No.94. Also a BT box near entrance. Follow track (long + very rough !) passing Winstanley tennis club (on right), go under M6; cont.until 'T-jctn' at stone wall. Turn right and, after 40 yds, 1st right again through white metal gate. Follow track, between wall and field fence, down to ground . Parking can get full. (Ash)

Ground is 'on' the A575 'Liverpool Road', just north of Woodvale Airfield, where dual carriageway ends, and 100yds after Kenilworth Road. On left, entrance easily missed.

A580 'East Lancs', under M57, taking right hand lane so as to turn right @ jtn onto A5058. Go over flyover (over A49) and over A5038 jtn. At rbt with A5090 (church on right) turn left onto A5090 (Hawthorne Road). Turn right into Wadham Road, grd on right, entrance at end, tarmac carpark, can get full, but extensions in progress.

Off M6 J29, onto M65 'Blackburn'. Off J3 to take A675 'Bolton'. Go right, under motorway, + immed turn left onto A675 'Bolton'.
Cont. for 2m. until enter 'Abbey Village' (sign). On left hand side, opposite 'The Royal' pub (on right) are 8 stone terraced houses. After last one (no.21), turn left into gap and down cart-track for 50 yds (will see 'cricket huts etc.) Ample parking (ash)

Road takes sharp left to go under large railway arch. Go up to traff lights at T-jtn and turn right, passing over girdered swing bridge.
Carry on up hill, at top passing under high footbridge. Go down hill until entering Frodsham. At major traff lights junction (clock tower in middle) take right hand lane. Go through lights, but after just 30 yards turn right down narrow road along left hand side of 'Nat West Bank'.
Carry on ahead down narrow track for 50 yards to bottom and turn left onto field. Plenty of car park space (grass) on right.
Great Eccleston CC. PR3 0?? / SD427397
M6, M55, come off at jtcn 3. Take 3 p.m. turn off (A585) to Fleetwood. Carry on to major jtn with A586 and t.r. to 'Lancaster (A6), Great Eccleston'.
Go past 'Little Eccleston' sign, before turning right off the main road at 'Great Eccleston' sign. Carry on and T.R. after Post Office (on right) into 'Chapel Lane'.
Wind past 'Farmers Arms' and carry on, (now called) 'Hall Lane'.
Bowling Green car park appears on right, and Cricket Club driveway (concealed) is situated on the right, 40 yards after the Bowling Club car park. Driveway entrance also directly opposite a house (on left) with 'Stone Lands' engraved above front door !.

M6, off at J23 (Haydock Island), take A580 'St. Helens, Liverpool' (East Lancs Rd). Go under footbridge. After 300 yds turn left at petrol station onto Piele Road, right @ rbt into Cavan Drive, 1st left into Wexford. Grd straight ahead. Car park (tarmac) can get full.

Go to Ormskirk and hence to Edge Hill College on A570 to St.Helens. Ground is halfway between town centre and College, and on opp. side to latter. Entrance through white gate.

Either get on the A570 'Ormskirk-St. Helens' road ('Rainford by-pass'), and follow (*) as below
Or go to Upholland & turn right at Hall Green, following directions for M58. At jtn 5 take (eastbound) route. Leave M58 at jct 3 & turn left onto A570 to Rainford.
(*) Turn off at rbt, B5203 'Rainford', and aim for the Parish church (visible from the A570) by turning left at the t-jtn into 'Church Rd' and pass church on left.
The very narrow track to ground is between end of Church graveyard wall and the Golden Lion pub. Follow track to plentiful car park (ash/grass) on left. Pav.+ ground are beyond.
Southport & Birkdale , Trafalgar Road, Southport. PR8 2HF / SD325151
Take A570 to Southport. At main rbt (Tesco's) take '11 a.m.' turn-off, A570 (Scarisbrick New Rd). Carry on past King George V College (on r.) and Infirmary (on r.). At next tr.lts turn left into A5267 (Ash Rd, then Cemetery Rd). Carry on 1.25m, crossing next jct (tr lts) with B5208 & into Crescent Rd. Get onto A570 to Southport. At main rbt (Tesco's), go str. over to take B5276 (Meols Cop Rd) & carry on, over tr.lts at Meols Cop station, & cont. until you reach tr.lts at T-jct with A 5267 (Roe Lane). Turn right, and grd entrance (narrow + easily missed !) is 100yds on left, just before 3' high wall made of smooth red brick + railings on top. and opp. 2 large trees; Ltd parking near pavilion, but can park on grass on right at sq.leg (front pitch), and further down on grass on right (for back pitch)

Through Birkenhead Tunnel and on exit take the A41 exit (N. Wales, Chester). At first large rbt go 2/3 way round and take sharp left 'New Chester Road'. Soon turn right 'Well Rd', go under Railway bridge and up to T-jct at main road. Turn right + immed left into Well Rd [contd]. At slight right bend, turn left in front of police station into Albany Road, Carry on (will see Victoria Pk on right) until end, turn right onto rbt, take 3pm turn off into Bebington Rd. Ground on right after 200yds.
Wrea Green - either (a) A59 'Preston', then A583 'Kirkham'. On Kirkham by-pass take 1st rbt left on B5259 to 'Wrea Green'.
or (b) M6 (J31) onto A59 'Preston' . At 1st rbt (Hesketh Arms ?) t.r onto A5085. After 3 miles take A583 to Kirkham as above.
or (c) M6, off J32, M55 off J3, left onto A585 'Kirkham' for 2m going str over 3 or 4 rbdts (follow brown signs for 'Ribby Hall'). At rbt jnct with the A583 cross str over onto B5259 to 'Wrea Green'.
Follow into village, arrive at church (+ adjacent 'Grapes Inn') on rt. Ground is on 'The Green' in middle of village, with changing rooms @ 'Grapes Inn' - can park car at Grapes to get changed, and then either walk to pitch with kit or take car.
